To My Future Wife

To whom other shall I attribute the gift of the love I have received from my wife? By the grace of God we will be in sheer reverence towards the divine ordainment of our matrimony. “As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you” (Isaiah 62:5).

Indeed, I have seen no flaw in you! “You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace” (Song of Songs 4:9). You shall be stained by the blood of He who has called us to be. In one of praise and holy ceremony shall we rejoice in the Lord; the host of heaven! We will cry together on that day, “glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together!” (Psalm 34:3)

O my sister and my bride, how delightful is your love! (Song of Songs 4:10). You shall be my cistern, to whom I may only gather pure water (Proverbs 5:15). Shall I go to the streets and seek water that is unpure? By no means! You are but a garden locked up! I rejoice, my dear bride.
